proposes to defer agreement of a

final figure until the calculations

have been examined by the Hong Kong

Government. In the meanwhile the

Governor of Hong Kong is being

of he aprees in principle,

instructed to abate the monthly

advances as suggested in the War Office

letter under acknowledgment.

the Governor is enclosed for the

information of the Army Council.
